Scout and Harlow

Sunday is our favorite day. Besides the fact that we have to go back to work the next day, Sundays are usually our day we spend together. Go to church, make breakfast (always pancakes), work on various projects, change back into PJs in the middle of the day, maybe take a nap while watching a movie, you get the point…. This past Sunday we realized that we are leaving for Europe in less than a month and we have nothing booked besides our plane tickets there and back. Yikes! So we decided that a picnic and some cupcakes sounded like a good idea to help us zone into planning. And even though the weather forecast called for rain we’ve lived in San Diego long enough to know that meteorologist lie and almost everyday is  a beach day. But I wore my rain boots just in case.

Side note: A friend made me this strand of petite salt water pearls with a little knot for Christmas and I’m SO in love with it. I feel grown up having a strand of pearls. Welcome to the bracelet cluster family little one.

I found this little tree clipping that reminded me of a little glimpse of Christmas. And I could live in Christmas year round so it made me really happy.

As the sun set and the clouds grew darker we decided to head out before we got rained on.

We just got back from Tahoe and we had so much fun! My family had to drag me out of there because I didn’t want to come home. It kept snowing and the trees, houses and yards turned whiter and whiter each day. I felt like I couldn’t take it all in, it was just to gorgeous! But I guess it’s back to reality. Well, not really because my hubbs and I are driving up to Big Bear this weekend to meet Airiel for her birthday!!!!

But I took lots of pictures that I plan to share with you as well as hopefully a video! (We’re still a little unsure on how to make one. :/ ) But here’s a little glimpse of me making a snow angel. 2-102 it’s just something you have to do in the snow. A couple of my cousins even did it in their bathing suits after a late night hot tub sessions. You know who you are…

I have been making my list and checking it twice and a couple idems seem to be from Jcrew. I mean did you see all the pictures from yesterdays post! How could I not wish for some of those! But one item is a Mens baseball cap to go with my new short hair I’ve been trying to pull off. And then there is the Tartan button-up which I already have multiple outfits planned out for.

So when I just so happened to look in the ladies section at Walmart, yes you heard me right, WALMART. (I was looking for stocking stuffers) I came across these gems!

Tonight we are Tahoe Bound for the week. My husband and I, both of our families and my extended family are all meeting up there for a little vacay and Christmas celebrating and I couldn’t be more excited. I feel like we have been planning it for forever and I’m so happy to stop talking about it and just be there already! It’s been snowing pretty good this last week and snow is in the forecast for this weekend too so hopefully this year will be a white Christmas!! This San Diego girl is ready for one. (There is something so peaceful about watching the snow fall isn’t there?!)

Anywho, I found these pictures in the December Jcrew Catalog and have them sitting by my bed to look through when I was dreaming of Tahoe. They seemed to describe what I hope to do so perfectly so I had to share them with you too. They are so visually pleasing right?!?
